  • About the event

BrazilianFestSF is a series of events taking place at The Crossing in the East Cut neighborhood in San Francisco from July through October. This family-friendly and admission-free series of events has a rich entertainment program that includes dance classes; performances; live music; a variety of Brazilian treats curated by local chefs; activities for kids, and much more. BrazilianFestSF will get people moving, promoting social engagement, community building, and wellness.

Our live music lineup includes Mariana Bonetti; Paulo Presotto and Veesh Maria; Oakland Samba Revue; Jackson SP; Allex Costa; Pedro & Felipe; Maracatu Pacifico, among other local bands.

    Why should you sponsor?

ALPS is a mental heath focused company with a strong community orientation. We see everyday in our practice how isolated people are. The post-pandemic blues have this ripple effect that continues to affect people's lives and wellbeing. Our goal with this program is to get people out in the community, moving, eating, working on their social skills by shaking hands and making friends, creating a sense of community and expanding their support system.

Brazilian culture is very vibrant, energetic, the music rythmus are contagious and have the power to get people moving without them knowing it.

Reserach shows that mental health issues are best addressed in a systemic way. Movement, socialization, nutrition, community envolvement among other interventions are great ways to prevent and stabilize mental heatlh issues.

By sponsoring this festival, you will be making a statement that your company supports activities that promote wellness and community building.

    Maura Amaral

Hi, Maura here, a resident of the East Cut neighborhood in San Francisco, an active community member, community organizer, an immigrant, and a small business owner.

I have been in the mental heatlh field for over 20 years, have taught graduate and post-graduate students, have led workshops and been a speaker in conferences world-wide.

I enjoy meeting people, creating opportunites for people to meet and expand their circles, and in my clinical practice, it makes me very happy to see my clients thriving and overcoming their mental obstacles, living the lives that they want to live.
