The mission of the International Uranium Film Festival / Atomic Age Cinema Fest is to showcase exceptional films on all nuclear topics and to celebrate creative, courageous filmmakers, producers and activists who have taken on this difficult issue that is vital to the survival of humanity: From uranium mining to nuclear weapons and nuclear waste, from Hiroshima to Fukushima.

Norbert Suchanek

I have been a science, environment and human rights journalist since 1988 and have also worked for various environmental organizations in the past, including Greenpease. In 2010, I founded the International Uranium Film Festival / Atomic Age Cinema Fest together with social scientist Márcia Gomes de Oliveira.
