About the event

Volunteers of America Mid States provides permanet, safe, affordable housing for low income seniors and low-income persons with developmental dissabilities.Services include helath care coordinatiuon, transporttation and around the clock care at group homes and several neighborhood-based homes. Community living supports are offered for family members woho care for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities at home.Those who  are able are encouraged to become involoved in their communities, which is made possible through Volunteers of America's in-home support staff, and other specialized serviices.

Kate Haygood

My name is Katherine Haygood and I have been in fundraising and development for over 25 years in Nashville, TN. I have dedicated my life to serving others and to help those who are in need. I am well respected in the Nonprofit Community and my heart is always engaged. I have experience in HIV/AIDS services, support for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, suppport for teens in crisis, and support for disenfranchised patients at a healthcare facilitry though their Foundation.Serving others is my path and I joyfully take on that role.
